Hunting at Coleman Oaks
Coleman Oaks is a privately owned property made up of two adjoining lots surrounded by hundreds of acres of timber and farmland. Situated well off the main county road, there is a thirty acre open field enclosed by a low fence with a small pond. The pond is active with turtles, frogs, snakes, and recently added Coppernose Bluegill, and Redear.
Sharing the southwest fence line and extending to the county road is the remaining tract that consists of pine and hardwood timber. The area is rich in wildlife and largely unoccupied by humans. Whitetail deer, coyotes, feral hogs, racoons, armadillos, and bobcats reside in the area or visit the property frequently.
Coleman Oaks is not a professional outfitter and does not offer guided hunts. The property is periodically leased by the day or for multiple days throughout the year to small groups of hunters. Hunts are deliberately spaced out to avoid over-hunting. When you book a hunt at Coleman Oaks, your group will be the only hunting party on the property.
